![]() If someone feels there isn't enough discussion worthy material in my thread, I'll post a secondary discussion topic Have you ever played against someone who tried to cheat? Did you call a judge on them? What happened? Share stories but try to keep a discussion going so this doesn't get moved to the dreaded RTC. Does he admit his mistake and say "whoops, heh, this should go to the discard not the hand" or does he tries to play along like nothing happened? He chose the later, probably thinking it was the easiest way out.īut anyway, let's move on to the discussion I wanna bring up. Quickly realizing his mistake, he has a decision to make. And even if it did, he would have to discard the energy and the eviolite!) (probably thought it had a Rescue attached but it didn't. ![]() The guy didn't intend to cheat, but for some reason, he put the Pokémon back into his hand. Fortunately, like I said, his opponent noticed, decided not to call a judge on him, and the situation was resolved. He probably realized what he had just done, and knowing it was wrong to do so, he argued putting the cards in the discard pile immediatly to quickly resolve the situation. But I will tell you that, right after he put the cards back in his hand, it seemed like he hesitated. Now, he may or may not have tried to cheat on purpose. His opponent quickly noticed, probably told him "why isn't your terrakion in the discard?" and the situation got resolved (Without them having to call a judge). Right after his active Terrakion got KO'd, he put it back in his hand along with all the energy and the Eviolite (it did not have a rescue energy attached). He had a Terrakion active and it just got KO'd. In one of the top 4 games one player tried to cheat. I was watching a live stream from a tournament a while back. The use of inadequate dusting powders increases the risk of sticking and twinning, whereas its excessive use can create tablets that have brittle coatings. ![]() While this method has proved to be very effective, particularly where there is difficulty in covering edges, it is important to ensure that a careful balance is achieved between the relative amounts of gum solution and dusting powders used. This process of application of gum solution, spreading, dusting, and drying is repeated until a satisfactory coating is achieved. Once this solution has been distributed uniformly throughout the tablet mass, it is followed by a liberal dusting of powder (which serves to reduce tack and facilitate tablet buildup) and drying. The lamination process is perhaps the older of the two techniques used, and involves application of a “glue” (in the form of an aqueous solution of a suitable gum, such as gum acacia, or even gelatin) in quite substantial quantities to the sealed tablet cores. There are two techniques for the subcoating application lamination process and suspension subcoating process each with its distinct features and advantages. It also provides the foundation for smoothing and color coating with any weakness in the final sugar coat often being attributable to weaknesses in the subcoat. Subcoating provides the rapid buildup necessary to round up the tablet edge. It involves the application of large quantities of sugar-coatings to the tablet core, significantly increasing the tablet weight by 50 – 100 %. This step is regarded as the first major step in sugar-coating process. If the final product is to have enteric properties, this result can be achieved using one of the enteric polymers (such as PVAP or CAP) as the basis for the seal coat and ensuring that sufficient coating material is applied. This problem can be minimized either by incorporating small amount of PVP into the shellac-based seal coat formulation or by using one of the other more stable polymers (such as PVAP). While use of shellac has been universal, this natural polymer can undergo further polymerization on storage, causing the seal coat to become completely insoluble to the point where bioavailability of the active drug substance may be compromised. If there is a tendency for either of these problems to occur, one solution is to replace part or all of the talc with some other material such as terra alba, which will form a slightly rougher surface.Ĭommon materials used as sealants include shellac, zein, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), cellulose acetate phthalate (CAP), or polyvinyl acetate phthalate (PVAP). Such poor wetting often results in uneven subcoat buildup, particularly on the tablet edges. Hence, one or more further application of resin solution may be required to ensure that the tablet cores are properly sealed.īecause most sealing coats develop a degree of tack (stickiness) at some time during the drying process, detackifiers, such as asbestos-free talc, are often used to minimize the risk of “twinning” or clumping.Įxcessive use of talc may cause problems, firstly, by imparting a high degree of slip to the tablets, thus preventing them from rolling properly in the pan, and secondly by creating a surface that, at the beginning of the subsequent subcoating stage, is very difficult to wet. Another variable is tablet porosity because highly porous tablets will tend to soak up the first application of solution, thus preventing it from spreading uniformly across the surface of every tablet in the batch. The quantities of material applied as a sealing coat will depend primarily on tablet and batch size. Warm air is then blown into the pan during the coating to hasten the drying and to prevent tablets from sticking together. In a manual seal-coating operation, the sealant which usually consist of alcoholic solutions of resins (approximately 10–30% solids) is evenly and gently poured or sprayed over the tumbling tablet bed (preheated to 40 oC). oils, acids, etc.) from migrating to the tablet surface and spoiling the appearance. Sealing also prevents certain types of materials (e.g. It is an optional step but is usually required to prevent the tablet core and its contents from absorbing water, softening, and initiating disintegration during the subsequent steps of the sugar-coating process. ![]() ![]() ![]() Seal coating involves the application of specialized polymer-based coating (either by ladle or spray techniques) directly to the tablet core. If feeling a bit paranoid about a particular game, you can always try a fresh install to any second device you own and then move the data across, to see if it works. However, we’ve successfully used it hundreds of times to save and restore game progress data, and also to move said progress between devices, such as from an iPhone to an iPad, in order to continue with a game that lacks cloud-based saves. Range, of course, is highly dependent on a variety of factors. For example, taming an Oviraptor requires you to drop dinosaur eggs on the ground, which it will consume over time, eventually leading to taming. Passive Taming involves feeding the dinosaur while it's awake, eliminating the need to knock it out. ![]() Ensure you use the correct food to avoid wasting the opportunity to tame it and the resources you used to incapacitate and feed it. If the taming bar doesn't move at all, regardless of herbivore or carnivore, it means you're using the wrong food. If the dinosaur is a carnivore, you'll need to place meat in its inventory and wait for the taming bar to fill up completely. However, there's also an "unconscious" bar, and if it depletes before you fill the taming bar, the dinosaur will wake up, and you'll lose all your taming progress. When this bar is full, the dinosaur will wake up and be fully tamed. If the dinosaur is a herbivore, you should put fruits or berries in its inventory, and you'll notice its "taming" bar increasing. Once asleep, players can slot food into the dinosaur's inventory to feed it, and subsequently tame it. Once the dinosaur is unconscious, you can approach it and place food in its inventory. Using melee weapons or rocks with a slingshot is a good start, and later on, options like tranquilizer arrows and darts will make the process easier. When it comes to the first method, aggressive dinosaurs will need to be knocked unconscious using non-lethal weapons you have on hand. It splits the taming process into two paths: one requires you to knock the creature unconscious and then feed it, and the other involves a more peaceful and passive taming strategy. The first thing to note is that taming varies depending on the species and aggression of the creature you're trying to tame. While players can also passively tame dinosaurs, in most cases you'll need to render them unconscious to begin the taming process. Let's take a closer look at how the taming process works and some essential details you need to know when taming the wild creatures on the island. Taming dinosaurs in Ark Survival Ascended isn't explicitly explained when you first spawn on the map, and attempting it without proper knowledge can lead to a quick demise (speaking from experience). Taming is a fundamental and essential element of the gameplay in Ark Survival Ascended. Perhaps the biggest difference for more advanced photographers is the Hero’s lack of support for Protune. GoPro Hero Vs GoPro Hero5 Session: Protune The Hero5 Session also includes Night Photo and Night Lapse Photo modes which aren’t available on the Hero. However, the Hero5 Session has eight burst modes ranging from three to thirty shots per second and adds six more time-lapse modes up to a full minute between shots. The Hero can shoot at ten shots per second in burst mode or with a time-lapse interval of 0.5 seconds between shots. GoPro Hero Vs GoPro Hero5 Session: Photo Specificationsīoth cameras are capable of capturing 10 megapixel still shots, but the Hero5 Session provides a greater degree of control when shooting in burst or time-lapse modes. Its three-mic system (vs two mics on the Hero5 Session) provides stereo recordings as opposed to the Hero5 Session’s mono soundtrack. One area where the new Hero does come out ahead is in its audio capabilities. Lower resolution modes found on the Hero5 Session, such as 960p (at up to 100fps) and 720p (at up to 120fps) are also absent from the GoPro Hero, meaning the newer camera misses out on several slow-motion options too. The Hero5 Session also has a SuperView mode for a more immersive fisheye-like effect. However, the differences don’t stop there: The Hero5 Session also offers additional frame rates at 1080p, including a cinematic 24fps mode and many other frame rates up to a maximum of 90fps, where the new Hero tops out at 60 fps. This feature alone may be enough to convince you to seek out the older camera while you can still find one for sale. The Hero5 Session, on the other hand, is fully 4K-capable at 30fps. Most notable is the absence of 4K support, with the maximum recording resolution limited to 1440p at a maximum of 60fps. The new GoPro Hero offers much-reduced video capabilities compared to the Hero5 Session. ![]() GoPro Hero Vs GoPro Hero5 Session: Video Specifications The GoPro Hero5 Session is much more compact, but lacks the touchscreen of the larger GoPro Hero. The touch screen will make good use of that extra battery power, however, meaning you won’t necessarily get better battery life out of the Hero, but the removable design is a big advantage when it comes to changing batteries in the field or replacing worn out ones which no-longer hold their charge as well as they did when new. GoPro Hero Vs GoPro Hero5 Session: BatteryĪ physically larger camera body provides more internal space and the Hero, like the Hero5 Black and Hero6 Black finds room for a removable 1220Ah battery, which is a little over 20% larger than the non-removable 1000mAh battery found in the Hero5 Session. Weights and dimensions of the two cameras are as follows: The Hero also adds a Micro-HDMI port for direct connection to a TV or monitor - something not present on the smaller Hero5 Session.īoth cameras feature a waterproof body able to operate safely at depths of up to 33 feet without the need for a separate underwater housing. The Hero5 Session, however, is more flexible when it comes to mounting as it can fit into (slightly) smaller spaces and weighs a little less.īoth cameras are pretty small, so GoPro clearly feels the extra usability of the touchscreen is worth more to the average user than having the smallest possible action camera. The built-in touch screen makes the Hero much easier to use than the Hero5 Session, especially for beginners, and it doesn’t rely so heavily on the smartphone app for control and reviewing footage. This change in design lowers the price bar to the ‘full’ GoPro touch screen experience but leaves fans of the smaller model without an equivalent replacement in GoPro’s new line up. The GoPro Hero is a much larger device than the Hero5 Session it replaces, abandoning the trademark cuboid proportions of the screenless Session range in favour of the rectangular design of the more expensive Hero5 Black and Hero6 Black models with their built-in two-inch touch screens. GoPro Hero Vs GoPro Hero5 Session: Design & Dimensions The Hero5 Session is no longer available directly from GoPro, but can still be purchased from retailers such as Amazon, where it can often be found at a discounted price while stocks are still available. Launching at $199, the new Hero matches the Hero5 Session on price, maintaining the entry price point to the GoPro range. ![]() ![]() "Ridiculous Fishing is something very special." ~ exp. The second thing that happened is that breweries have begun to roll out more beers that fit into those centrist categories - possibly because there is a bit of backlash toward the outlandish styles that have gained so much popularity, and possibly because they have limited resources in the new, on-again-off-again pandemic world and needed to focus on what is safer and truer.
